Implants can be positioned above or below the chest muscle, and some patients may choose an internal bra technique or surgical bra afterward for added support.

Breast Augmentation Mammoplasty – Surgical Procedure & Healing Time
Breast augmentation surgery is performed under general anesthesia. This outpatient plastic surgery procedure requires roughly one hour of operative time when using a saline implant or silicone implant, and up to 90 minutes when using fat grafting for breast tissue.
Most patients recover within a few weeks of the procedure, using a surgical bra, and will have a follow up appointment scheduled. However, it can take several months to fully appreciate the final result — ideally around 4 months — when swelling fades and the implant settles into the inframammary fold, achieving that sense of perfection and transformation.
