Vascular Laser Treatment Explained
Clinique Evolution specializes in the use of the latest laser skin resurfacing and laser scar treatments. Using a proven scientific approach, our laser treatments and laser scar resurfacing techniques can improve skin texture, correct scar tissue and acne scars, and even firm vaginal walls and reduce post-pregnancy urinary incontinence.
For example, laser resurfacing using vascular lasers is a very effective choice for treating erythema, which is characterized by mild swelling and redness on the skin’s surface, often due to recent or immature scars (which causes dilation of blood vessels).
To reduce the thickness of the scar and to provide more flexibility to the surrounding skin, fractionated laser resurfacing is usually used. To assess your scars and to suggest the best possible laser light treatment, book a scar treatment consultation with us.
Procedure
How does it work?
The laser has a photothermal heating effect on the collagen in your body, which causes collagen restructuring and remodeling. Depending on the procedure, this results in the thickening and tightening of skin on the face or the mucous membranes in the vagina.
This simple, non-surgical procedure is very effective, relatively painless and safe.
Time
- Length of surgery: 15 minutes – 1 hour
- Recovery Time: 2-5 days
- Final Results: 6 months
- Can shower: After 24 hours
Anesthesia
- Local anesthetic
Painful?
The laser procedure only produces mild discomfort. While it can be slightly uncomfortable during the treatment, once completed any pain is minimal.
