Our speech-language pathologists’ mission is to evaluate your difficulties, that of your child
oor your relative. From their speech-language conclusions, they will be able to
propose an intervention plan adapted to your needs and your demands. They will also guide you to other professionals if they feel the need.

Our therapists offer their services in our two clinics, located on the island of Montreal
(LaSalle and Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)). They also travel to provide services in the home, at school,
in an assisted-living facility and also performs telehealth sessions.

How is speech-language pathology
rehabilitation beneficial?

The primary role of the speech-language pathologist is to detect, assess, and diagnose delays and disorders
that affect language, speech, communication, articulation, swallowing, or voice, etc.

After the assessment, the speech-language pathologist builds an intervention plan and identifies targeted goals
to begin the therapy. The therapy is personalized and adapted for ALL clients, according to their age and needs.


  • The speech-language pathologist uses tools and fun activities that are tailored to each child’s goals.
  • The speech-language pathologist helps your child progress and to achieve success through encouragement and positive reinforcement.
  • The speech-language pathologist offers strategies and attitudes to adopt at home to promote your child’s communication.
  • The speech-language pathologist also recommends educational tool (computer, more time, visual aids, etc.) to ensure that the child is accompanied fully during their academic development.
  • The speech-language pathologist also strives to strengthen the child’s self-confidence and motivation.

Speech-Language Pathologist or
« Agent de correction du langage » ?

An “agent de correction de langage” is a competent therapist who ensures the implementation and application of the intervention plan established by the speech-language pathologist. They can ensure the complete therapeutic follow-up of the client in collaboration with your speech-language pathologist who will supervise, if necessary, any action or decision necessary. In partnership with the child and the parent (s), they will use all tools to achieve the objectives of the speech-language pathologist.

The speech-language pathologist is a member of the Ordre des Orthophonistes et des Audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ)
and must have a license issued by the OOAQ to provide speech-language services.
